Another Good Reason Why You Should Remain Fit in Springfield

Does exercise make your organs work better? We already know the many benefits of staying active and fit, particularly in helping reduce back and neck pain. Its benefits to a healthy being are also well known. But how does affect your organs? Particularly your liver. Check out this interesting study.

The study that we have found today looks at a possible correlation that cardiovascular fitness and the ability of the liver to function have. The liver is key in filtering out all of the bad toxins in the body. The study we found believes that if there is a growth in the amount of fat around the liver, there will in turn be less of a chance of the liver being able to heal and remove toxins from the body.

In other words, if you have a fatty liver, it is not able to filter toxins properly and cannot heal itself as well.

What the study did was look at the cardiovascular fitness of 463 people. They used an upper body ergometer, aka an upper body bicycle where you pedal with the upper body. Their fitness was tested, and it was found that those who are more cardiovascularly fit had a lesser chance of having a fatty liver, which is not surprising.

This was discovered by not only using the upper body ergometer, but also by using an ultrasound machine to look at the liver.

This determined whether or not the person had a fatty liver.

The study concludes that with an increased fitness level, you have a pretty good chance of not having as fatty of a liver as you would without exercise. Better fitness, better liver, the less likely a fatty liver. They also took smoking and alcohol use into account during the study.

So in summary, you now have yet another good reason to stay fit and healthy.
