We at Back and Body Medical Springfield want to give you an insight into what your first visit with us would be like. We want you to be as comfortable with the process as possible as we can all then focus on what’s needed to get you out of pain and well again. So here’s a brief outline of what to expect.
Upon entering, you will be greeted by one of our kind and helpful staff members who will give you intake history forms to fill out. It is very important we get this all of this information from you as your past medical history can have a lot of influence on the problem occurring currently and what treatment we will treat you with.
You will be escorted into a room where one of our doctors will take an initial history. Before we perform this exam, we will have you change into disposable shorts or a gown. The doctor will then leave the office and go to another room where he or she will discuss your history with the team of doctors at Back and Body. This team work makes it a very comprehensible approach to the patient.
The doctor will come back into the room and perform a musculoskeletal exam. This consists of an exam for any joint or muscle pain, and possibly a neuromuscular exam if you have any radiating components. After the exam, all of the doctors will group back together to discuss what treatment we think will be best for the patient.
