Professional Background of Dr Robert Minlionica DC MPA ATC
Robert Minlionica, is a Staten Island, NY native, and comes to Back & Body Pain Relief after graduating from Logan University in St. Louis, MO. Dr. Minlionica brings a wealth of knowledge in evaluating and treating athletic injuries due to his extensive clinical experience in working with athletes of all sports. His knowledge and experience will prove to be a huge asset to the team at Back and Body Pain Relief here in Springfield.
Chiropractor with High End Athletic Treatment Experience
He most recently served as a full-time onsite chiropractic preceptor treating the athletes of the University of Memphis. At Memphis, he worked with all 19 sports providing chiropractic care, ensuring their ability to perform at the highest level of competition in a safe and healthy environment.
He was also a member of the medical team that helped the Tiger football team reach their 8th consecutive bowl game.
Dr. Minlionica’s interest in treating athletic injuries began before his pursuit of chiropractic school. In 2015, he earned a Bachelors Degree in Athletic Training from Alfred University where he developed the foundation for his main goal, keeping athletes safe on the field. This carried over to his next endeavor as a Graduate Assistant
Athletic Trainer at Kean University where he worked with the Cougar Football, Men’s Soccer and Basketball teams while pursuing a Master of Public Administration, graduating in 2017.
After Kean, he continued his athletic training experience as a Summer and Seasonal Athletic Training Intern with the New York Jets from 2016 to 2018. His experience with the Jets allowed him to be a part of a world class medical team caring for the NFL athlete’s health, safety and performance.
Dr Minlionica’s Goal to Redefine a Patient’s Healthcare Experience
Dr. Minlionica’s goal is to redefine a patients’ healthcare experience by providing high-quality evidence-based musculoskeletal care. Dr. Minlionica has gone above and beyond to acquire clinical skills and mentorship from top clinicians on evaluation, manual therapy, rehabilitation and clinical decision making. This effort has allowed him to have a systematic strategy useful for managing spinal and extremity complaints, acute or chronic.
He has completed extensive coursework in Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization, McKenzie Mechanical Diagnosis & Therapy, FAKTR, Mulligan Concept, Active Release Technique, SFMA and the Motion Palpation Institute.
